On February 18, ECHS hosted a forum for the candidates for Cabarrus County Commissioner moderated by Judge Nate Knust.  Following introductions from each candidate, they were asked questions submitted in advance by Cabarrus County voters on the topics like taxes, growth, schools, crime, development and budgeting.  Each candidate was asked to answer every question.

ECHS works with Quilts of Valor, a national organization, to present quilts to Service Members and living Veterans touches by war.  Nominations for quilt recipients can be made by ECHS members, using this form.  Quilts are presented annually on Veterans Day.

Interested in the history of Mount Pleasant?  The "Mt. Pleasant by the Minutes" website is a history based on the town minutes, 1883-1909.
